7 Ways to Play

Life Support for Women in Non-Profits

Play refreshes us, builds our capacities and keeps us present in our joy.

When we play, we also grow more resilient and more able to face life's ups and downs with lightness and a sense of humor. At the same time, we all have received messages that can make it hard to get to play or to stay in its flow. This course provides:

- the 16-page Deep Permission Workbook

- 8 modules of rich and gorgeous content, with each addressing a specific barrier to flow

- stories, prompts, nudges challenges and all sorts of encouragement to get you playing, right away

This course is designed to help you overcome those barriers at your own pace, because we understand that getting back to play can feel a little bit scary. In one week, you'll reconnect with your intuitive creative ability and expand your comfort zone.

Build a life that is more fun than you thought possible.

For the past decade, my work has been focused on supporting children's self-directed play. These days, I do a lot of staff training and keynote addresses through Pop-Up Adventure Play and am pursuing a PhD in Playwork at Leeds Beckett University. I am also a certified workshop leader in the Amherst Writers and Artists method, and my favorite ways to play include baking, dancing in poorly lit rooms, and reading terrible novels.

Perhaps you’re thinking “this isn’t the right time, I’m too busy right now”.

This course is specifically designed to make the most of cracks of time that you already have, and fit into your life as it is. The focus is on practical, meaningful, incremental changes that you can start immediately and which last a lifetime. The magical day when we're not busy never quite seems to come.

Maybe you thought “I already know what I need to do, I just need to actually do it”.

White-knuckling alone is the hardest route to change, and pretty ineffective. Consider how much fun a few lighthearted prompts might be instead, from someone who has helped people return to play for nearly a decade.
